Craig Fitzgerald has been flying with us for the past 18 years. To celebrate Pride this year, we wanted to tell Craig’s story by showcasing his career as a Cabin Services Manager and his passion for Drag Performance. As Craig says, ‘If I wasn’t living a fabulous life, I wouldn’t be true to myself.’
Craig, as his drag alter ego, Avryll Nitrate, will lead our float in the Pride parade in Dublin this weekend. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
We’re delighted to be the official airline of this years’ Dublin Pride Festival .
Aer Lingus is proud and privileged to support this important festival as an official Gold Sponsor, giving all our colleagues, their families, partners and friends a chance to celebrate alongside us.
The thrilling centrepiece of the festival is the Dublin Pride March and Parade 2023, set to take place on Saturday 24th June with a route that starts on O’Connell Street and finishes in Merrion Square. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the first ever Dublin Pride Parade, so it’s sure to be a spectacular day for all involved.
Aer Lingus colleagues, their friends and their families will represent Ireland’s only Four Star airline in the 2023 Pride Parade, along with a specially designed float that captures the essence of our iconic Irish brand.
As a celebration of LGBTQ+ people and culture, the Pride Parade plays a crucial role in promoting diversity, inclusion and belonging within societies all around the world. Over 200 Aer Lingus colleagues and allies have participated in previous parade years, helping to build an electric atmosphere at this legendary Dublin extravaganza.
As part of our investment in workplace diversity, we have established ProudFlies, the Aer Lingus LGBT and Allies Network, with the aim of building an inclusive, open community — and encouraging colleagues to feel they can bring their whole selves to work. We’re delighted to have such strong support from our team, as hundreds of Aer Lingus colleagues and their loved ones prepare to proudly fly the flag at the Dublin Pride Parade 2023.
Happy Pride everyone!
